You are required to produce a report, creating a model for potential investors and/or a takeover possibility, by analysing and interpreting the financial statements of a FTSE 100 group of your choosing please use Admiral Insurance (unless there is not enough information), using relevant accounting ratios. The report should compare 2014 financial statements and financial reports results against 2013, identifying strong and weak areas of financial performance. All work should be well referenced and contain a complete bibliography.
Your report should make reference to any relevant information contained within your chosen organisations Strategic Report and the Directors Report. You should also reflect on the limitations of your analysis of your chosen organisations Financial Report.
In particular you are required to include the following features:
a)Sector of operation and outlook;
b)External factors (EU referendum?);
d)Objectives set against actual achievement
e)Ratio analysis (Profitability; Liquidity and Equity) which are best and why’
f)Share price fluctuations;
All calculations should be included in an appendix.
