Directions: You are to choose one of the above topic prompts and turn it into a thesis (your angle, your point, your stand) to write your next essay on. Use a fresh approach to this often written-about (but still very important) topic of advertising. That will be very important in your grade.
YOU MAY NOT WRITE ABOUT HOW ADVERTISING SUPPOSEDLY HURTS WOMEN’S SELF-ESTEEM AD AFFECTS CHILDREN’S OBESITY, FOR EXAMPLE. THESE TOPICS HAVE BEEN WRITTEN ABOUT TO DEATH. GO OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE. I have capitalized the above not because I am shouting but because I don’t want you to miss it.
The same points (length, format, etc.) apply to this essay as they did to the first one. I will be paying particular attention in this essay to the following recent lessons: transitions between paragraphs and punctuation. Your essay is due March 21.

Here”s some tips she gave me about my last essay:
I”d like you continue developing stronger and stronger theses with each essay. A good thesis needs to be controversial rather than a statement that doesn”t need proving. Your thesis in this essay was good, so I know you have it in you to create very powerful theses for the rest of the class.
Continue to focus on improving the organization of your thoughts and the transitions between paragraphs. Work on transitioning between paragraphs by ending each paragraph with a sentence that is both smart and clearly connects it to the next one or by making your transition sentence the first sentence of the following paragraph. Each transition should be a solid extension of your thesis. This will engage the audience while giving you more room to be creative in relating ideas to one another that you would have never considered before.
Your work will be checked with the highest quality standard expectation.
Make sure to dedicate maximum attention to this assignment.
